This is the last major showcase before launch: GTA VI arrives on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Between those two dates, expect the marketing push to only accelerate: preorders, TV spots, and most likely a final trailer.
Rockstar has not said how long the presentation runs or what exactly it covers. The industry reads the word “extended” the same way: everyone expects gameplay rather than another cut trailer. The basis is simple. Across three years of campaign, Rockstar has not shown a single second of play. It is still a reading of the wording, not an announcement.
The Netflix-first format is new for the series: every previous GTA reveal went straight to Rockstar’s own channels. Whatever the reason for the switch, the practical takeaway is simple:
- watching live means a Netflix account and 3 p.m. ET on August 27;
- waiting costs nothing: the free upload lands on Rockstar’s YouTube channel at 9 p.m. ET the same day;

The showcase has not been cancelled or moved despite the August leak running since the 18th. For the first time in this campaign, Rockstar gets to show the game on its own terms.
